Fated Authority is a game where you are the ruler of an empire, and your decisions greatly affect how your people will live. There are many different paths to victory, but most require some form of persuasion or negotiation with other players.

Fated Authority vs Fated Persuasion Explained – Guide Fall is a guide that explains how to use the Fated Persuasion Hades card.

Before you leave your house, Hades urges you to make a few decisions. The Mirror of Night has a massive amount of upgrades for you to acquire. You may acquire new powers for Zagreus to test out on the inhabitants of Hell by spending Darkness and Cthonic Keys. Authority of Fate versus Persuasion’s Fate is the odd last ability you receive. These make use of an unusual resource and aren’t quite clear about what they accomplish. So, which is the superior option? Is there any circumstance or construct where you may utilize one over the other?

Which Is Better: Fated Authority or Fated Persuasion?

Fated Authority vs. Fated Persuasion is a topic that is seldom discussed today. Many people believe that Fated Persuasion is the finest, yet Fated Authority has advantages as well. They both let you reroll and attempt to affect your run’s RNG. You may have some influence over your build by rerolling events. So… What exactly are we up against here?

What are the functions of Fated Authority and Fated Persuasion?

Dice is a new resource used in each of the “Fated” choices. You begin a run with a number of dice equal to the number of ranks in your chosen Fated option.

A House Contractor Upgrade will give you more dice. “Fated Keys” will allow you to utilize Fated Authority or Fated Persuasion more often. This makes keys a really valuable resource!

You don’t have a hard cap on your beginning die, either. You may acquire more than you expected and stockpile till the cows come home! It is, however, advised that you spend them as soon as possible if necessary.

The secondary interact key, which is also used to deliver Nectars to Gods, is used to activate Fated Authority on doors.

The choices for that door are rolled through by Fated Authority. You may reroll a God Boon into another God Boon or a Pomegranate in this way. The significance of this is that you may roll for anything else instead of upgrading improvements you don’t need, such as a Centaur Heart when you already have too much health. This makes the early game quite constant, and it also allows for mid-game rerolls on poor rooms like Gems, unnecessary Darkness, or Obols if you’re already wealthy.

Fated Authority, on the other hand, has a few flaws.

  • Only for that room’s “pool” will Fated Authority reroll. Each time you arrive to a door, it will be assigned to a particular pool. A Darkness door, for example, will typically only roll Darkness, Keys, Gems, Nectar, and Obol. Other Gods, Pomegranates, Centaur Hearts, and Daedalus Hammers are available when you reroll a God (Sometimes). Unfortunately, you can’t reroll a Darkness to attempt for a God Boon. This severely restricts its use, since you can’t get out of “minor improvements” if the room is already heading to one.
  • You get one reroll for each Dice. You don’t receive a list of improvements like you do in Fated Persuasion; you simply get the door in front of you. A poor reroll implies you have to spend another die or accept the L if you don’t have any other choices. And your rerolls are allowed to overlap! You can definitely use too many dice and obtain repetitions; if you’re not cautious, a Darkness may become a Key again.
  • This is more expensive. Fated Authority requires 11,000 Darkness to fully improve, whereas Persuasion costs just 10,000. The difference is small, and completely upgrading Fated Authority gives you additional dice. However, in order for this to achieve its full potential, you’ll need an additional 1,000 darkness.

Fated Persuasion

Hades Fated Persuasion vs Fated Authority

Fated Persuasion is only utilized on God pages; look for the “reroll” button at the bottom of your options list. To receive three new boon choices, click that!

This reroll has the potential to alter your choices and rarity for that God’s Boons. This is great since it ensures that your construction is consistent. With rerolls, it’s simpler to look for particular boons or legendary/duo boons.

However, there are a few drawbacks as well.

  • You Can’t Count on Getting New Boons. The Gods have a tendency to change their minds. If you don’t already have Attack, Special, Cast, Dash, or Call boons, you’ll almost certainly reroll into one of them. This makes digging for utility boons like Artemis’ Pressure Points more difficult. However, the boons you reroll may have a greater rarity. Rerolling for the same boon if you anticipate a God to grant you a Rare Boon – you’re utilizing their memento, for example – is a fair strategy. However, it may be aggravating to keep getting the same old garbage while searching for uncommon items.
  • You will be given half of the dice. While you receive three options instead of one with this ability, you only get half the dice to begin with. As a result, you may reroll one God twice and another God once. Your dice collection is entirely dependent on Key Rooms.

Which is the better option?

Most individuals consider Fated Persuasion to be considerably superior. Persuasion is employed to ensure that particular builds are created; rather than selecting garbage, you have the opportunity to discover a boon that is synergistic with your construct. Or at the very least, the finest that God has to give! This build may let you do more damage, run more consistently, and even last longer. That’s a game-changer, and it makes each run a lot simpler.

Fated Authority, on the other hand, is far from worthless. Instead of ensuring a solid build, Fated Authority ensures a good start. Early on, choosing your rooms is costly, but it enables you to get early Daedalus hammers, disregard poor room rolls like Gems, and seek for the deity of your choice. You’re looking for a room rather than a boon.

Fated Persuasion is great for building, while Fated Authority is ideal for individuals who simply want to get started… Those who don’t want to be bombarded by Gems in every room. Fated Authority works well even when desperate-rolling for Double Boon rooms or looking for Eurydice in Special Rooms.
