Buccaneers’ Tom Brady Trolls Old Rival Before Bears Game

The last time Tom Brady and the New England Patriots played, they lost to Mike Glennon and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week in Chicago, coach Belichick found a way to get back at his old team: he revealed that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be playing for them this Sunday.

Tom Brady is a quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has been playing in the NFL since 2001, and is the only player to have won five Super Bowls.

Getty This week, Tom Brady took a shot at his old college foe.

Before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, quarterback Tom Brady had a little fun with an unexpected career first.

For the first time in his 22-year NFL career, the former Michigan quarterback will play a club that includes a former Ohio State quarterback. Justin Fields, a former Buckeye, will start for the Bears (3-3) against the Buccaneers (5-1).

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Brady told the reporters on Thursday, “I’m not going to say anything too incendiary against Ohio State.” “When we face Ohio State, I’ll have my chance.” Because it’s Michigan State week, they are the players I can target.”

Brady’s former college team rose to 7-0 on Saturday, setting up a confrontation this week between the No. 6 Wolverines and the unblemished No. 9 Spartans (7-0). In November, the Wolverines face the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes (6-1).

Brady defeated the Buckeyes for the first time as a starter in 1998, throwing for 375 yards in the victory. According to Doug Lsemerises of Cleveland.com, he does not do well when betting on who will win “The Game” between the rivals.

Ohio State has a plethora of NFL talent, some of whom have been colleagues or opponents of Brady’s — but no Hall of Fame-caliber quarterbacks have emerged in recent years. Brady had to “think” on that one a bit, which he was free to do since the Bucs’ roster contains no former Ohio State players.

“That’s fascinating. Why aren’t there more Ohio State quarterbacks in the NFL? Over the years, I’ve met a lot of Michigan men. “There aren’t many Ohio State players,” Brady added.

Brady isn’t exaggerating.

According to Bill Bender of Sporting News, the Buckeyes have a history of NFL quarterback draft failures. With the Bears, Fields hopes to buck the trend.

Brady, on the other hand, went from being an obscure sixth-round draft selection from Michigan to winning seven Super Bowls. In the process, he became the greatest quarterback of all time, never forgetting where it all began for him.

If Brady can lead the Bucs over a Fields-led Bears squad on Sunday, he will add another victory against an ex-OSU quarterback to his long list of accomplishments. Since losing to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, the Bucs have gone on a three-game winning run.

“You can’t take your foot off the throttle at all,” Brady told the reporters, according to Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com.

Brady has unfinished business.

On a Thursday night in Chicago last season, Brady had a winning drive in sight until a downs mix-up halted the attempt. When he threw short of the first down marker in a 20-19 defeat, he mistook third down for fourth down.

According to NFL.com’s Nick Shook, Brady told the reporters, “It feels like a long time ago, but it wasn’t that long ago.” “That hasn’t occurred in my career very frequently; for whatever reason, it happened at that time.” But, certainly, it was a terrible defeat last year, and I believe we learnt a lot from it.”

At the time, Brady was still getting acclimated to a new system in Tampa Bay. He’s already thrown 17 touchdown passes this season.
