Smart – smart is the world we live in. Everything, I mean everything, ranging from mobile phones to even cooking ovens, is getting smarter every day. Yes, the ovens and refrigerators that look like they are coming out of a movie are becoming realities.
While these smart appliances and tools are nice to have, they cost a big sum of your bucks, not adding value as greater as you’d expect. So, to help you dodge money wastage, I tried a bunch of smart kitchen appliances and gadgets.
In this content piece, I am going to talk about only the ones that justify their pricing and help you make cooking more enjoyable. So, without much ado, let’s dive right into them.
Cosori Smart 5.8-Quart Air Fryer
You might have already heard of this great invention – you get to enjoy all the crispy foods without worrying about high-calorie count. But this smart air fryer from Cosori is smart.
You get all the presets for your favorite foods whether they are frozen or fresh. Just touch one of the eleven preset touch buttons and the rest will be taken care of by the air fryer. It’s really simple to use and gives you the liberty to use either presets or your voice to give commands.
Yes, you heard it right. If the manufacturers are calling a device smart, then the device has to have a smart voice control. Cosori smart air fryer is powered by both Alexa and Google Assistant voice control. So, you can watch a new recipe on your TV without having to enter to control the cooking. You can use your voice to control the cooking recipes.
Speaking of which, you might not be able to use these features smoothly if your internet connection is struggling. I personally use Spectrum for my smart home and kitchen. It offers affordable Spectrum internet plans, a wide coverage area, and reliability, which is proven by Spectrum’s low outage rates.
Getting back to the smart air fryer, the native app of Cosori has a big library of recipes that you can cook using the air fryer.
Although it’s a great appliance to add to your kitchen, there are some downsides of the air fryer too. Comparatively, it is huge, and you might need to create a dedicated space for that if you have a small kitchen. I read in some reviews that it creates a bit of smoke when operating for longer periods.
Anyhow, keep these cons in mind before making a purchase.
Thermador Emerald Ultimate Control Smart Dishwasher
Most of the smart home appliances are just a gimmick but this dishwasher from Thermador is an exception. A very smart dishwasher that can take the responsibility of washing your dishes and more.
Let’s talk about that ‘more.’ The dishwasher connects with the Home Connect app from Thermador and then alerts the user on their phone when the dishes are done. You can also set a schedule as to when the dishes need to be washed. You get a remote control feature to control it from any corner of your home, provided that you are connected to the same WiFi as that of the dishwasher.
Things really get smart when it detects that the dishwashing supplies are running low, and it orders the right supplies from the connected online stores.
It’s a fantastic dishwasher that helps you enjoy the cooking, eliminating the fuss of washing dishes.
Samsung Family Hub
The name might confuse you, but it’s a refrigerator. A smart refrigerator, to be precise.
You might or might not know that Samsung is an electronics company that offers a wide range of products, from refrigerators to foldable phones.
Samsung Family Hub is one of the best smart appliances to have. However, it might or might not justify the hefty $4,000 price tag.
There is a giant screen on one of the two doors of the refrigerator that works like a tablet. You can watch your favorite movies, listen to podcasts, or (even better) watch and follow the recipes as you cook. You can create a buying list and that screen will remind you of the things you need when you will be out shopping for them.
Samsung Family Hub has built-in cameras that do a great job of identifying the stuff that is available on the trays of the refrigerator. It is sometimes hit-and-miss, but it works. In my opinion, those cameras are just a gimmick and a great way to utilize them would be to identify things. And when something essential is running out, it should remind the user to get in the next round of shopping.
The refrigerator has a Samsung Food app that helps in meal planning, recipes, and following the recipes when you are cooking the food.
If you want to use the Samsung Family Hub just as a refrigerator, it’s going to be fine for the fundamental stuff. Samsung does make great home and kitchen appliances.
