The Chiefs tookaways from much this week.
The chiefs week 2 is a post-game recap that features three takeaways from the Chiefs’ victory over the New England Patriots in week 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs had a rough go of it in their previous two games, but they rebounded against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City pulled through in a position when they needed to win. We’ll see whether they can maintain their winning streak in their upcoming game. It’s time for another installment of our NFL takeaways series, this time with a Chiefs Week 4 takeaway.
The Eagles did their hardest to stay up, but the Chiefs were just too much for them. Kansas City did an excellent job of keeping the lead, but it was never really in question. Despite their 2-2 record, the Chiefs are one of the best in the league.
Despite this, Travis Kelce was a non-factor in this game. It’s an uncommon event that doesn’t always occur. Tyreek Hill, on the other hand, had a monster performance as a result of it. In addition, Patrick Mahomes seemed at ease and performed his magic. With that in mind, here are three key lessons from the Chiefs’ Week 4 matchup with the Eagles.

Takeaways from Week 4 for the Chiefs
3. On Sunday, Travis Kelce was lost in the shuffle.
Travis Kelce is often impenetrable, but the Eagles slowed him down in this game. He just had four catches for 23 yards and couldn’t seem to get going. Fortunately, his output was not required, but seeing it on Sunday was very frightening.
Travis Kelce has been the team’s best receiver in prior meetings this season. Tyreek Hill was the one who struggled throughout those games. Normally, the two get along, but this season seems to be different. As the season progresses, we’ll see whether the two can put up huge numbers together, but only time will tell.
2. Tyreek Hill exploited the Eagles’ shaky secondary.
Tyreek Hill had a fantastic game on Sunday. He led the Chiefs in all three categories with 11 catches for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Hill had no answer for the Eagles throughout the game, as he did anything he wanted.
Every time Mahomes dropped back to throw, it seemed like he was aiming for Hill. Everyone expects Hill or Kelce to receive the ball, but no one can stop Kansas City. Throughout the season, the Chiefs’ top wide out is going to have huge games like this.
It’s remarkable that no other receiver can get on Mahomes’ radar, given how good the passing attack in Kansas City is. Mecole Hardman and Bryon Pringle have each had numerous opportunities to prove themselves as viable options. They, on the other hand, often fall short. Tyreek Hill, on the other hand, is a beast who isn’t going away anytime soon.
1. Patrick Mahomes is still in the game. Patrick Mahomes is a quarterback in the National Football League.
Is there any way to tell whether there was ever any doubt? The Chiefs had lost two close games in their previous two meetings, but they came out on top against Philadelphia. On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes tossed the ball all over the place, including an underhanded throw to Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
He is, and will continue to be, the greatest quarterback in the NFL. After losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl last year, the Chiefs are hoping to return this year. However, the AFC West has been unexpectedly competitive to begin the season, so the Chiefs will have their hands full. The Chiefs will always have a shot as long as Mahomes airs it out like he did against the Eagles.
